Plain Weather is a very original desktop weather application. Lately, I have seen a new trend for this type of applications. They include HD graphics, radars, fancy graphics and tons of other features. Some of them are slow and most of them aren't free. Plain Weather does without all that and it presents the weather to you in the simplest way possible; in plain text. Thus, the application is really light and has a small memory footprint.
The first time you launch the app, you will be asked to type in your location. The app supports most major cities around the world and it is powered by Yahoo! Weather. Once you have added your location, the main window will show the name of your city and weather information for today and tomorrow. Here is where one of the main limitations of this app comes in. Temperature and state of the weather (fair, sunny, cloudy, etc) are the only things that are provided by the app. The application doesn't show the temperature on its dock icon, and there isn't a menubar icon that displays it either, so you have to manually open the application to see it. This is the other limitation. Though, the app performs very well.
