Paparazzi! is a small Mac OS X utility that takes screenshots of websites. It can be used to create an image screenshot of a whole website.

To be clear, this is not some sort of offline browser or anything like that. To better explain what it does, let me tell you what the main limitation is when you try to take a screenshot of a website using Mac OS X's screen capture utility or any other similar app: you can only capture what you see on the screen. Generally, websites are very long and you have to scroll up and down to see it all. That is the case with newspapers and blogs. Well, using Paparazzi! you can simply tell the app what website you want to "capture" and it will do all the work needed to provide you with a single image file that encompasses the totality of the website. You can even set the minimun size you want your image to be or even crop it.

In my testing, I had to try a few times before the app returned any image at all. I had to constantly re-launch the app because it would just hang there. But when it did work, it provided excellent results. For example, while one of my successful tries, I took a snapshot of the NY Times. The image was very long, but I could easily open it and zoom in and out and read all of it. The quality of text was amazing. And the image wasn't that heavy.
