NotifyMail is an email notifier; it works in cooperation with your server to notify you immediately when new mail comes in. It is not an active checker like your email client (Eudora, Emailer, Mailsmith, Outlook Express, etc.), but a passive listener, listening for a cue from the server when new mail has arrived. What's New
Version 4.1.4 fixes the following:
- Hopefully fixed sound problem under OS X. (OS X)
- Made Application file type APPC (OS 9)
- Added AppleEvent to check if NotifyMail thinks that new mail is waiting. Mail is waiting is defined as NotifyMail has been notified of new mail and the email application has NOT been brought to front. If the email application is already in front, this will return false.
- Added preference "Seconds between notifications" that restricts notifications to x seconds so that you don't get notified too often. Set to 0 to be notified on all messages. Probably should set to 2 or more so that multiple notifications don't annoy the user (OS X)
- If there is a pending mail notification (dialog) when the app quits, the notification is nuked
- Added support for QuickMail Pro Version 4.1.4 fixes the following:
- Hopefully fixed sound problem under OS X. (OS X)
- Made Application file type APPC (OS 9)
- Added AppleEvent to check if NotifyMail thinks that new mail is waiting. Mail is waiting is defined as NotifyMail has been notified of new mail and the email application has NOT been brought to front. If the email application is already in front, this will return more... Requirements
