Movie Changer turns your Apple Mac into a fully-fledged movie playing jukebox. It supports any video media that can be played on the Mac, including DVDs and any content playable by Quicktime. DVDs may be normal DVD discs or on a hard drive as .iso images or .vob folders.
Movie Changer has been designed so as to allow virtually any method of control. It has a normal computer keyboard and mouse interface, a method of interfacing with an IR remote and control through both serial ports and TCP and UDP sockets using a simple yet powerful command language. This means that the Mac can be used as a stand-alone video media player, or integrated with a sophisticated control system such as AMX.
Multiple Macs running Media Changer can be networked, allowing movies to be stored once but played anywhere. The Movie Changers communicate seamlessly in a peer-to-peer environment. The control language allows any of the Movie Changers on the network to be controlled through a single interface.
