Klix 1.2

Klix is a digital photo and image recovery software. It was designed to recover photos from your memory cards that have been deleted involuntarily, or after your disks have been formatted.

It should also work in the case of damaged or corrupted data. The application will detect any flash drive, memory card or USB camera connected to your Mac. Then, you can scan the connected device to see which files can be recovered. The demo version of this app has the full functionality of the final product, but it limits you to recovering only one file.

My testing of this app was very successful. I put an image file on my flash drive and then dragged it to the trash and emptied the trash, just to make sure. After a few minutes scanning my flash drive, Klix came up with a list of files that it could recover, and my image file was there. So were a bunch of other files that were previously put on my flash drive. To recover the photo, I simply clicked on it and then on the "Recover" button. A new dialog was opened asking where I wanted to save the picture.

All in all, this is a very nice utility that can recover files from memory cards and flash drives. It has worked for me and it not only recovers image files, but also video files.
