I'm trying to take my backed up music and import the playlists to a different iPod. Whenever I try (File-> Library-> Import Playlist-> Select.txt file) it tells me that some of the music files are missing and does nothing.

The backup was created in 2010, and the iPod I am transferring to is a video iPod with click wheel (not the newer one that has speakers).

When importing iTunes checks the paths for the files contained in the playlist. If one file is missing from its original location, the process stops. All music needs to be in the same place as the path in the playlist indicates or you won't be able to transfer the songs. Just re-create the playlists and add the music again from the new location and it should work in this way. It's a mystery why iTunes can't import files without checking all the paths.
