The backup extractor is free for non-commercial use and fully functional. It can be registered for a small fee. Registered users are able to restore more than two files and four records at a time.

The iPhone Backup Extractor will run on any Windows XP, Vista or Win 7 computer, or Mac and Linux computers ( running Mono). For Windows it requires the .NET 2 framework which is common on many PCs.
For Linux users running Ubuntu 8.10, the application should work with stock Mono packages.
