iOrgsoft Audio Converter can be used to carry out different audio conversion tasks. Perhaps its most important feature is audio to audio conversion.

The app can open quite a lot of different audio formats, including MP3, MKA, WAV, M4A, AAC, AC3, AIFF, AMR, FLAC, WMA, and MP2. WMA is a troublesome format because it isn't really supported by any native Mac app that I know of. This app handles them quite well. The formats mentioned above are also supported as output formats. If you want to, you can also extract the audio from a video file. The input video format support is also very good. I opened MKV, DivX and H.264 files without any problems.

There is an editor that you can use to cut audio files into shorter clips. This is often called "trimming". There is also a split feature, which cuts the video in identical parts. You can cut the audio by telling the app the length of your final clips, or you can choose how many clips you want to make out of the original file.

To test this app, I used MKV and DivX files for video and WMA for audio, since I know the format is problematic. The process for the three formats was smooth and the resulting files sounded as good as the audio from the original files.
