Presentations directly from the computer screen with the aid of a video beamer become more and more popular. Traditional mouse cursor shapes like arrow, hand or cross are very useful for screen work, but less useful for screen presentations, since it is quite hard for the audience to always find the pointer. InstantPointer is designed to fill this gap.
While residing in the background, InstantPointer listens to certain hot key combinations, and it instantly turns the mouse cursor into a brightly coloured virtual "Laser Pointer", or toggles it back to the default cursor. Upon certain key combinations it instantly changes the pointers colour. Holding down the mouse button it enables you to draw translucently on the screen in the colour of the given pointer. Holding down the shift key makes it more easy to draw straight lines...
