ImTOO DVD to MP4 Converter 6.5

ImTOO DVD to MP4 Converter is a commercial DVD ripper. It can be used to convert your DVD movies into MP4 files and save those on your Mac.

Of course, you can then move those files around, and since MP4 is a very popular format, chances are most multimedia playback devices that you have will be able to play those files.

Loading a DVD is really easy, you simply click on the circle button at the left and select the DVD drive. You don't have to manually find an .IFO file or anything like that. After a DVD is loaded, all the available DVD titles will be listed. You can then select what audio and subtitle tracks you want to use and choose a format.

As I mentioned, this app can convert your DVDs to MP4 files. There are quite a few conversion profiles for lots of multimedia playback devices, including iPods, AppleTVs, etc.

Unfortunately, this application uses an installation wizard to put the .app file in the Applications folder. It is not a big deal, but that shouldn't be the way apps are installed on the Mac, especially when it is so easy to simply put the .app file in a DMG file.

Graphically, you can see a nice interface that looks identical to that used in ImTOO's Windows lineup.

All in all, this app works well, it has quite a few different conversion profiles, but is missing some features like a video editor, a cropper and a trimmer.
