Thanks for info on accessing ImageBrowser. Do you have an opinion on its usefulness? I haven't yet put my mew Mac to work. Does the Mac itself have similar/better software for browsing & selecting photos?

Imagebrowser is just an image manager with some additional features except regulat image managers. It allows you to take advantage of the camera's built-in features for Canon products. This means that it allows you to control the camera from the PC with the USB cable provided. You can check for more information on the Canon Support website.
