I would agree that it has a lot of settings, but doesn't this provide a good customization? Some of my friends do enjoy the fact that this messenger has several skins to suit your taste and different sounds to be used. In general it works smoothly and is quite enjoyable to chat in.
Don't use much of this IM client: it's too complicated for me to look for my way thrpough the wilderness ad thicket of all those tabs and all ythose settings I don't want to bother to configure.
On the other hand, if you install this program onto your computer, there'll be nothing to be sorry about, cause it works just the way you'd like an IM client work.
Still, the amount of spambots in it is really astonishing, so watch out for ones!
