iCoolsoft QuickTime Converter for Mac is a video conversion utility. It was designed to let you convert your video files so that you can play them on QuickTime or import them to other applications that depend on QuickTime for video playback, such as iTunes, and other Apple software. If you are new to the Mac world, you have three options. You can either convert the files using this utility, or you can download a video player that supports the format. Additionally, there is a component called Perian that can let you import non-MOV files into Apple applications.
This video converter can also carry out video conversions from MOV and QT files to other formats, and the list of supported codecs is quite large. The program also comes with conversion profiles for devices like the iPod, iPhone, AppleTV and iPad. There are also profiles for QuickTime, iMovie and Final Cut Pro.
During my time with this app, it performed quite well. The video files that I converted with it looked and sounded good. I didn't detect any conversion problems. The only thing that I couldn't get to work was the subtitles. I tried loading them from an MKV file that had a subtitle track, but the subtitle menu wasn't available. The rest of the features worked as expected.
