HexChat is an IRC client based application for XChat. The program is highly scriptable with Python and Perl and is translated in multiple languages.

It supports Spellcheck, Proxies, SASL, DCC and more. HexChat was originally called XChat-WDK which in turn was a successor of freakschat.
