Go Beryllium! is a very special game, in which you are a beryllium atom and your job is to survive as long as possible in a hostile environment full of other molecules and atoms that will try to harm you. You score points for the time you survive. You can destroy the surrounding particles by shooting at them or you can activate your shield for some time. If you use the shield, some energy will be consumed and you cannot use it if your energy is critical. To restore your energy, you can collect quarks, which are colored particles. For every second you stay alive, you score 1 point and 2 points when your energy is at a maximum level.
To control your atom, you use the arrow keys to move around, and other keyboard keys to shoot and activate the shield. Sadly, you cannot customize them. You can make your game more challenging by activating the inertia, as the atoms will move smoothly. Deactivate it to get a more precise movement. The game includes two difficulty levels and they differ in the number of stages (easy has 3 stages and hard 9 stages). Graphics are simple but attractive, the music is suitable and there are only a few background sounds of explosions that are played from time to time.
