Info updated on:

Filmotech is a Mac program that comes in handy to people who are dealing with large movie collections. This application provides you with a simple and quick way to catalog your DVDs, Blu-Rays or CDs, helps you manage your movie rental details, and offers you plenty of useful information regarding the videos from your collection.

You can organize your movie entries into groups based on their genres or status (rented, missing, etc.), use the built-in search tool to immediately find missing video details, and print film information with just a few clicks. The utility also enables you mark movies as Watched or Lend, change their cover images if needed, and give your own rating to the films from your collection.

Another thing I like is that the application gives you direct access to official movie trailers shared on YouTube (click the "Show Trailer" button from the film details panel).

Once you finish altering your inventory, you can export it as a XML, CSV or XBMC file. The program also provides you with an option to publish your catalog info on your website with just a few clicks.

To conclude, Filmotech is one of the best movie inventorying tools for Mac. It's feature-rich, intuitive, and free. I can't find a single bad thing to say about this program. So, you should definitely give it a try.
