eBook Reader is a handy Mac application that, as its name clearly states, helps you read e-books (electronic books) in a simple manner. This piece of software can prove to be quite useful if you are looking for an easy way to read e-books in the English language and plain text format.

Using the eBook Reader is very simple. In order to import any desired e-book, all you have to do is to click on the "Get Book" button which will automatically take you to a website where you can find free e-books, copy the entire book (in plain text format, US-ASCII encoding and no compression) and click on the "Make Book" button.

Once you have done that, eBook Reader will add the copied e-book to your personal library so that you can read it whenever you want to. Furthermore, besides allowing you to read any added e-book, this application can also read it for you. This way, you can rest your eyes and simply listen to the interesting book that you have added with little effort. In addition, if you are having trouble understanding any words that you might encounter during your reading, the built-in dictionary that this piece of software comes with will definitely help you out.

All in all, eBook Reader is an easy-to-use Mac application that is worth a shot if you want to read or listen to your favorite e-books or any other e-books that you might find on the Internet in plain text format.

Not the same program, confusion caused by two programs from different developers using the same program name.
