This program is an efficient download manager created by Betamagic for Mac. The utility comes with an intuitive interface, supports batch processing, keeps a history log with all completed downloads, comes with an integrated browser tool, and much more.
An important advantage is that you no longer need to use your default browser in order to find the files you need to download. You can use the one that's offered by Download Buddy, set a homepage if necessary, and much more.
All you need to do in order to start downloading a file from the Web is paste its URL in Download Buddy's interface, and the program will immediately begin fetching the document.
In my testing, the application worked flawlessly. It immediately downloaded three large files from different websites.
As it was mentioned in a previous review for an older version of this program, the application doesn't provide you with an option to select or assign the maximum download speed limitation. However, Download Buddy works perfectly, doesn't use many CPU resources while downloading files, and comes without a price tag. So, I think it's worth giving it a try on your Mac.
