Can reach into your offline drives, USB sticks, CD and other off cloud media that it has 'seen'. Super-fast and also integrates with mac Finder so you don't have to have DCM open to feel the benefits. Very useful tool. Not tried others but have not felt the need to.

This is a key part of my workflow, handling 24 external hard drives can be crazy without DiskCatalogMaker. Great product!

Deceptively simple, incredibly robust! Used this product 10 years ago and coming back to it today. Solid 5 stars!

I used the app as part of Toast Titanium, which gave me the Roxio Edition of DiscCatalogMaker. The fast way the discs were added and the impressive search function and easy navigation helped me a great deal in keeping my massive disc collection organized. Now, I figured it was time to upgrade to the full version to see what additional features (Dark Mode, Quick Look etc.) can help me even more in working with my disc collection.

DiscCatalogMaker is absolutely essential to me. I have 25 external drives ranging from 2 to 10 TB. They are filled with TV shows, movies, music, plus all the video and sound editing projects I've worked on and all the SFX I've bought or recorded for 10 years. Without DCM I would never be able to find anything. Instead, I just scanned all the drives, and I have a searchable record of where EVERYTHING is, in case I need it. I used to keep a text file, and I would waste HOURS trying to keep it current. DiscCatalogMaker has saved my sanity!

This software is fast and they update it regularly — not abandonware like a lot of programs that have been around this long. It's a little pricey but totally worth it since I have so many drives to catalog.

Been using it for many years to keep track of my backup disks of client files (I am a self-employed designer) of close to 1,000 DVDs and Blu ray disks. Fast scanning and searching.

This is the best software for keeping up to date with your detached volumes on the mac. It even has incredible functionality with peeking inside your archived files such as .tar & .gz I was looking for something simple, but this really had all of the features. One really cool "nice-to-have" is the support for macOS back to 10.7, which is exceedingly difficult to find these days (written at the beginning of 2020).
