Disk Diet is a Mac program that enables you to reclaim space on your drive with just a few clicks. This utility comes in handy if you're dealing with low disk space and wish to immediately find and remove the files and applications you no longer use or need on your Mac.

Once you select the partition you wish to clean, the application automatically starts scanning its contents. You will have access to a list of categories that contain cache files, unused programs, language files, Trash data, etc. The app lets you select which of the aforementioned data to be permanently removed from your Mac.

A good thing is that Disk Diet provides you with plenty of useful hints. They can be displayed by clicking the "?" from the right side of the listed data categories. This feature might prove to be of good use to beginner computer users who are new with this type of applications and wish to know exactly what they're about to permanently delete from their Macs.

Unfortunately, the program comes with several flaws. For example, once the cleaning process is complete, the app shuts down. There's no option available for disabling this characteristic.

Another aspect that bothered me was that it took a while to clean up the cache files from my computer.

In my opinion, you should try a different Mac cleaning utility if you're looking for a feature-rich and efficient tool.

Just wanna say that I did like the idea of naming the app Disk Diet as it does remind of a real diet but this time for your disks.
