CaveQuest is a lovely puzzle in which you need to help trapped travelers by playing different varieties of match-3 games. In some cases, you will need to help the travelers advance by making matches with the objects in their path. To make matches, you just need to swap adjacent items in order to align three or more of the same type, thus eliminating them from the board. If you create chains of matches, you may get power-ups which can be activated by making matches with the same object of the power-up. For instance, you will need to collect hammers in order to activate the hammer power-up, which destroys any item you choose. In other games, you will need to destroy the plates that are under certain items to complete a game.
The game includes two modes: Relaxed and Timed. In Relax mode, you play at your own pace, while in Timed mode, you will be awarded bonus points for the time you do not use. This means that the faster you complete the levels, the better. The game offers very simple graphics, but they are still attractive. Sounds are simple too and the music is pleasant, but a bit repetitive.
To sum up, if you are looking for a nice and enjoyable match-3 game with a rescue story and multiple variants of the same game, CaveQuest may be a nice choice.
