When you enter the program, you are welcomed by an innovative GUI that has the shape and look of a DJ mixing tool, along with many options and effects. Though it looks cool, apart from the default view, there are no visual customizations for you to play with. Also, a thing to keep in mind - the program requires a powerful computer system, otherwise you'll often experience menu delays.
Bucha Easel V integrates more than 300 presets from various international experts, and it also comes with dual Low Pass gates, lots of effects and a syncronizable pulser and clock.
Professionals can use the Left hand modulation sources to create envelopes and LFOs and add randomness and smoothing to the modulation. Moreover, it includes a Gravity XY modulation source so you can control the sound with the movement of a projectile.
Overall, Buchla Easel V is an impressive tool to use to generate crisp and clear sounds from a modern environment. Its price, however, will most likely look expensive to many users.
