Bombshells: Hell's Belles is an arcade, combat flight simulator. In this game, your enemy is known as Tool.
You are a part of a squadron of female fighter pilots who provide air assistance to fend off attacks and win the war. When you first launch the game, you will be able to choose a character to play. There are three available. You can unlock one of them using the money that you get for completing missions. The first one serves as a tutorial that explains how to maneuver the plane and shoot your weapons. You can use the mouse or the keyboard to shoot and control your airplane, although I found the mouse controls to be quite awkward to use. The controls aren't inverted so anyone who has used a joystick to control a flight simulator will have a hard time adjusting. I simply used the keyboard, and I was able to get good at controlling my jet in no time. The second mission is a defense one. Tool is placing mines around your base, and you should take them out. After a few missions, you can buy a new plane and start equipping it with more advanced weapons which cost you a lot of points, but make the game quite easier. During each mission, you should get all the power-ups and supply drops to gather more points. There are a lot of unique weapons that you can unlock and the planes look great.
I enjoyed the few minutes that I spent playing Bombshells. The gameplay is entertaining and controlling the plane was easy with the keyboard. The different weapons were all fun to use. The graphics are good for a Mac game. You should keep in mind, though, that this is not a simulation game. It is all about fun, so you will see unrealistic planes, weapons and dogfights.
