In a distant future, a small group of human exiles are struggling to survive on the outskirts of the galaxy. Through military strength, subterfuge, and deception, the unified Terran government has managed to keep a fragile peace. With resources becoming scarce, these Confederate nations are looking towards the prosperous worlds of their alien neighbors, the mysterious Protoss.
