BitTorrent is the original and official BitTorrent client for the Mac. It is available on multiple platforms.
For those who haven't tried neither of these apps, they have a very minimalist look. The main window is divided in two panes. The top one is where your torrents will be listed and some information about them will be displayed, such as speed, seeds and peers you are connected to, status, etc. The bottom pane shows more information, divided into five categories: General, Trackers, Files, Peers and Speed.
On the left, there is a toolbar that lets you filter your torrents into those that are downloading, those that have been downloaded, those active and those inactive.
In terms of performance, I have no complaints about BitTorrent. It is as fast as any other client out there. It is light and it can download any torrent.
In short, if you are a uTorrent user, there's no need to switch to this. If you use Vuze and want to switch to a lighter and faster BitTorrent client app, this could be a viable option.
