AppleMacSoft Video Converter is a commercial media converter. Although it has a questionable graphical user interface, this application makes up for that by letting you do quite a lot with your media files. It lets you rip your audio CDs into WAV files and your video CDs into MPEG files. It also lets you convert video files to MOV files, rip their audio and save them as a WAV file and repair files for QuickTime. The application also lets you carry out two operations with your disk images. You can either burn an image to a CD and split an image into several CDs.
The application is divided into four tabs: CDs, Movies, Audio, and Disk Images. Each section shows the actions that you can carry out with those types of files. Strangely, when you click on Audio, you will see a message that reads "Currently there are no tasks that can be performed on WAV audio files".
In short, this is a media converter, but I get the feeling that it is very old. First, the inclusion of CDs and not DVDs is very weird. Then, only supporting conversion to WAV and MOV files is a bit strange. The last nail in the coffin was that no audio operations could be done. And, to top it all off, the application sells for $49.95.
