This utility is more than its name implies. Besides helping you uninstall unneeded programs from your Mac, this tool also enables you to remove extensions and leftover files from your computer.
App Uninstaller features a straightforward interface, supports batch processing, and is packed with a powerful search tool. The first panel (Applications) offers you a list of all installed programs from your Applications folder. It might take a while to analyze and reveal the Applications list. As soon as you select a tool from the list, you immediately get access to its correspondent files (for example, the Preferences files). You have the ability to choose which of the files to remove along with the selected program. The same thing goes for the Extensions panel.
As for the Remains panel, the program gives you access to a list of files that were left behind after deleting tools incorrectly (for example, sending the program in question to Trash, leaving associated files behind). You can use the sort options or the built-in search tool to quickly locate the leftover file you wish to delete from your Mac.
All in all, App Uninstaller worked OK during my testing. Even though it took a while to load the Applications folder data, it immediately removed the necessary tools, extensions, and leftover files from my Mac. I'd say it's worth a try, especially since it's so cheap.
