Start by collecting the material you want to learn—lecture slides, a textbook chapter, a set of notes, or a link to a recorded lesson. Upload the file or paste the text, then generate a deck and quickly scan the results to fix wording, remove duplicates, and add extra examples where needed. Many learners use this to convert weekly class content into daily review sets, so new topics move into long‑term memory without rewriting everything by hand.

For heavy memorization subjects, you can mix card types depending on the goal. Use direct prompts to drill definitions and mechanisms, cloze cards to practice key sentences, and multiple-choice items to check understanding before exams. When studying diagrams, maps, or anatomy images, image masking cards help you quiz labels and structures; after generation, you only adjust the masks that need cleaner boundaries.

Language study workflows often start with bilingual sources or transcripts. Generate cards from readings or videos, translate when helpful, and keep decks separated by theme (travel, medical terms, business). Automatic tagging and organization reduces sorting time, making it easier to maintain several decks across a semester.

Once a deck is ready, export it to an Anki .apkg file for syncing with the Anki app, or review in the browser using the built-in scheduler to plan the next sessions. Sharing is practical for study groups: one person generates a deck from the week’s materials, others review and suggest edits, and the final version can be redistributed for consistent exam prep.
