ACB also comes with advanced Continuous Data Protection (CDP) technology which can be set to capture every version of the data of a file that has been saved to hard drive. It provides a highly dependable means of real-time, continuous data protection for desktops and laptops effortlessly and transparently, without any human intervention. Besides CDP, ACB also provides a flexible backup scheduler to implement backup policy easily. Once a user has defined the backup setting, backup will be carried out automatically at desired time. Unlike some backup solutions, ACB integrated with Microsoft's latest Volume Shadow Copy Service (VSS) framework to consistently back up open files without additional applications or plug-ins. For example, it can back up your Microsoft Outlook data even when you are editing your emails. ACB secures all your data in encrypted format & sends through a SSL channel. All data will be compressed and encrypted with 256-bit encryption with an encrypting key selected by the user on the client-side before being uploaded and stored on Online Backup Server. The encrypting key will never be uploaded to the backup server during backup. Moreover, uploading of backup data is done by secure SSL channel to further increase the security. Decryption, on the other hand, is only possible with user's encrypting key. This whole mechanism provides exceptional security to the backed up data. ACB's users can access to their user accounts via the Internet. They can restore their backed up files remotely from any computers at anytime without the ACB client software. Therefore, a traveling user can access to the backed up data with his/her Internet Explorer or Firefox in case critical data are lost during traveling. With AutoUpgrade enabled, whenever the Online Backup Server that an ACB is connected to has been upgraded to a new version, the ACB will be upgraded automatically.
