Info updated on:

7Zip Browser is a software tool, designed for macOS, that is capable of browsing the content of a specific archive file without decompressing it. It suffices the users need to save disk space and also time, while also being very intuitive.

Once you've completed the installation process, you get welcomed by a rather minimalist GUI, that has a faded theme color, badly crafted buttons and a poor text color choice.

7Zip Browser supports several file formats, such as .7z, .rar, .zip, .tar, .bzip2, .cbr, and many more. The users are able to explore the contents of archives and thanks to a function called Duplicate cleaner, duplicate file from the archives will not be shown.

The file hierarchy and information can easily be reviewed, either it's a simple file or a picture format. The application supports 4 compression algorithms, 23 decompression file formats, and various data recovery capabilities.

To sum it up, 7Zip Browser is a smart tool to use when you want to explore the content of an archive, but you don't want to decompress it.
