2048 Tile! 1.3

2048 Tile! is a brainteasing puzzle game for Mac where the goal is to join as many tiles as you can and get the 2048 tile on your board. You can move the numbers from the board using the arrow keys. Once two squares with the same value collide, they merge into a single tile showing the total of the joined numbers.

The application brings a straightforward interface, plays sound effects when moving tiles on the board (you can disable sounds if you want to), and displays instructions on the main window even when playing the game. You're not playing against the time and the game is over once the board is filled with tiles that cannot merge.

Another good thing about this app is that it keeps track of your highest score and lists it on its main window. This way, you're motivated to increase your number of points and overcome the highest logged point value.

I didn't like the fact that the application constantly displays ads on its main window. You need to make an in-app purchase in order to get rid of this problem (however, the price is very low). In addition, you can't save your game progress.

Since the application is free of charge, I can't see any harm in downloading and installing it on your Mac to see if it works for you. Even though it comes with two flaws, I still think this puzzle game is worth a try.
