YouSendIt Express is a desktop client for the YouSendIt service. YouSendIt allows you to send files to anyone who has an e-mail address. No files are attached on the e-mails sent by this application, though. All that is sent is an e-mail with a download link. The actual files that you send are hosted on the YouSendIt servers.
When you install the application, and after you have typed in your login details, you will be able to start sending files from the application. YouSendIt express keeps a log of all the files you have sent, and it can also receive files if other YouSendIt users send you some. There are quite a few different options available for you when you send files. But most of them are for paid users. For example, you can have the application password-protect your file, or verify the identity of the recipient of the e-mail, or get a return receipt. All these services are $3.99.
In my testing, and since I only have a "Lite" account with YouSendIt I simply sent myself an e-mail with a random file. The process went quite smooth and I didn't have to wait or anything like that. I just typed in the e-mail address and selected a file. If you use the YouSendIt service regularly, this is an excellent tool for you.
