TextExpander is a great productivity tool for the Mac. It allows you to create text snippets that you can call by typing a few letters from pretty much any application on your system. Basically, you create a text snipper, which is any text you may want, and then assign it an abbreviation. When you type in the abbreviation, TextExpander will replace it with your snipper. This is a great tool to have if you are constantly typing the same stuff day after day. TextExpander also has a spellcheck feature.

The great thing about TextExpander is that it gives you a lot of freedom when creating your snippets. They can be text-only, graphics or a combination of both. The app is also smart enough to know the date and time and type it in for you when you use the correct abbreviations. There is a new feature called Fill-in snippets, which allows you to call up a snippet that will come with some fields that you can fill in with extra information.

On the website, there are tons of screencasts that show most of the apps features. They are a great source of knowledge.

All in all, this is such an amazing app and the great thing is that you can download the trial and test it all out before you have to buy it.

I haven’t tried it. But what's the difference between this and TypeIt4Me?
