BOOM is a simple but enjoyable game a la "Bomberman" in which you need to destroy all the enemies by using your bombs. The faster you accomplish your mission, the higher your score will be. You can play the game on your own, or play it in cooperative mode, with a friend on the same computer.

The game includes a great variety of enemies with different types of weapons. Some of them are tougher to kill, so you will need to elaborate a strategy to get them trapped or something like that. The game is full of goodies which can help you eliminate your enemies faster and more easily. You will find extra lives, speed ups, bombs, shields, and other stronger weapons. There are also coins that you can collect throughout the levels, which can help you reduce the power of the enemies, allowing you to kill them more easily. The controls are customizable, so you can adjust them to your liking. The game offers very simple graphics and sounds, and suitable music.

In short, if you were a fan of Bomberman and you are looking for something similar to pass the time, BOOM may be a good choice.

  • Adjustable controls.
  • Lots of levels.
  • You can play with a friend.
  • Challenging.

  • Very simple graphics and sounds.
  • Only one difficulty level.

I don't like this genre, so I doubt that I will at least try it, but I would watch with interest some other guy playing.

    Pros: cooperative mode, old-style game
    Cons: simple graphics

If you have nostalgia for old arcade games this one will be just for you. A single player mode is fun, but it steps away in front of the cooperative mode.
