4Sync is a program that helps you back up your images, videos, and other files to an online storage. The uploaded content is automatically encrypted and you can access it from other computers that have 4Sync installed, a web browser or media gadgets, such as smartphones or tablets.
Mac OS X doesn't come with a default utility for backing up data to cloud services. For this reason, programs such as 4Sync were developed. Over the years, dozens of these applications became available on the web, each with its own special features and prices for upload storage space. 4Sync comes with cheap rates (less than $20 per month for 1TB of space) and various data sharing options.
You can use this program to back up your important data to your online cloud account and share the uploaded files with other people. There's also the possibility for other users to contribute to the backed up files. You just need to create shared folders and other people will be able to unify pictures from previous trips or family events.
Another great thing about this tool is that it immediately backs up your files as soon as you copy them to the 4Sync folders within your Mac. You can also set an upload speed limit if you don't want the app to slow down other running programs that are using the Internet.
The only thing I'd add to this app would be the ability to drag-and-drop files from my desktop to the program's main window for sync. 4Sync only backs up the data you copy in its default Finder directory.
All in all, I think 4Sync is a reliable cloud syncing utility. It's very simple to use, has easy to configure settings, and works perfectly.
