ZipGenius 1.4 is different due to its many built-in features, which make it one of the most versatile product on the Web; also, ZipGenius can be expanded via the ZGTools: small applets that can run both as standalone and as services for ZipGenius.
The "Light" version of ZipGenius is primarily designed to satisfy users that need a very simple zip/unzip program, without haviing to browse among a plethora of functions; on the other side, the "Full" versions are really complete, just starting from the "Standard" edition. These editions are designed for power user who don't want to be limited and who want to use only one app for almost half of their daily work. ZipGenius will satisfy them becuase it offers e-mail (ZipGenius Mail) and FTP (FTPGenius) clients built-in. FTPGenius, also, can be used as a stand-alone program, even if it's integrated in the same executable file of ZipGenius (zipgenius.exe): due to the DualApp technique, ZipGenius and FTPGenius are two apps in a single file.
ZipGenius 1.4 is clearly a mutlimedial app: it can plays MP3 in preview and it can acquire pictures from any TWAIN device, and compress them into a zip file.
The Web now is used just for anything, so ZipGenius works well with the Web, too: you can send via e-mail archives or just single files extracted from archives, or you can publish them on a website or on a FTP server. Do you need to download a certain archive? Well, type its url in ZipGenius and this programm will download and open that file
