XtraFinder is a small yet efficient plug-in for Finder, developed with one single purpose in mind: to facilitate your work on Mac. This helpful tool provides you with numerous settings making Finder a more flexible program and helping you save plenty of time and effort while using it.
Personally, I've always been disappointed by the amount of features Finder has to offer. For instance, unlike Windows Explorer, Finder doesn't allow you to open multiple windows at the same time, go backwards, show/use Go Up button, and much more. XtraFinder offers you all these features.
By using this simple plug-in, you can add numerous items to your Finder menu, assign hotkeys to various tasks (copy, refresh, new file, etc.), enable the browser style tab option, etc. Once you've configured these settings, you will be able to handle the Mac Finder a lot easier and save plenty of time.
The only thing you need to take into consideration about using this application is to finish any background tasks in Finder (copy documents, delete folders, etc.) before installing this plugin. Once the installation process is completed, Mac Finder will restart.
Personally, I find XtraFinder to be a smart addition to my collection of Mac programs as it offers me all the features I can think of for the Finder app. You don't have to pay a buck to use it and that's another good reason for giving this plug-in a try.
