Great gems can be hidden in executable and other binary files.
Xstrings is an adaptation of the classic 'strings' tool which tries to find sensible character sequences that may hopefully mean something to you.
But Xstrings goes farther than its counterparts, poking extended attributes such as Finder info and HFS resource forks and probing them for info as well.
