Like all applications written for older (pre-OS X) versions of the Macintosh operating system, WordPerfect for the Mac cannot run within OS X itself.

It will only run inside an "emulated" Macintosh - a "virtual" computer created entirely by software, and running in a window on the OS X desktop. This "emulated" Macintosh is the software equivalent of a 1990s-era Macintosh that can run System 7 or OS 8 or 9, which are the operating systems in which WordPerfect for the Mac were designed to run.
