Woodle Tree Adventures

Woodle Tree Adventures is a straightforward platform game set in a colorful 3D world with all the elements of classic platformers.

You play for a small, cute tree that is sent by its father on a quest in search of water for their thirsty world. Your objective is to help Woodle complete a total of 6 levels as he jumps platforms, fights enemies, and collects special items.

The adventure starts when our little friend Woodle leaves home with the purpose of bringing water and restoring the former glory of its world. Water is available in the form of fairy tears, which are spread all over the land, often on top of the highest platforms, inside little houses, sometimes cleverly hidden behind waterfalls, and at every spot imaginable. So the game will see you exploring worlds with the most diverse landscapes, walking around intricate constructions, jumping platforms, taking elevators, and reaching every possible location to find the precious tears. The journey will be long, and you need to eat to survive, for which you'll have to collect all the berries you find in your rucksack.

As in any strange land, you should also expect to find obstacles to sort out, as well as all kinds of enemies to fight. With the magic leaf, you can hit all the cute little monsters that get in your way. These monsters are not really dangerous or aggressive; in the worst case scenario, they will make you restart a level (not a big deal).

The game can be controlled with the keyboard, use the arrows to move, the space bar to jump, and the E/B keys to attack enemies, these are the most common actions. Fortunately, it is also possible to use a game pad, which should make the game more enjoyable. One detail to note, or rather to complaint about, is the game camera, which sometimes fails to follow the character correctly and makes calculating the distance to jump a bit hard.

In short, Woodle Tree Adventures is a cute little game that resembles the classic Super Mario 64 and other platform games of the 90s. Its graphics are beautiful, its concept is simple, and though it is not really challenging, Woodle Tree Adventures can bring great fun for a couple of hours.
