Wifiner helps you fix any possible problems with your Wi-Fi network. In this respect, the application can detect the strength of your Wi-Fi signal at different locations. Luckily, there are no restrictions as to the type of area supported, which can be both indoors and outdoors. In spite of the fact that at least some basic technical knowledge is required to use the tool effectively, it is quite easy to find your way.

The tool has a straightforward interface, just as its workflow. Thus, in a series of simple steps you can get a sort of interactive heat map of the strength Wi-Fi signal in the desired area. In this regard, you can start scanning the signal by walking around and marking specific spots on the map. Luckily, the tool supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequency bands as well as 20, 40, 80 and 160 MHz channels. Similarly, it is compatible with 802.11a/b/g/n/ac networks.

The map uses color codes to show signal level and there are 11 different visualizations available. Moreover, it is possible to know other parameters, such as signal-to-noise ratio, noise level as well as download and upload speeds. Most importantly it helps you identify dead zones in such a way that you can try moving your hotspots to different locations and fix the issues.

This product has some limitations. It is a shame that it does not support external Wi-Fi adapters. Likewise, due to the Mac App Store restrictions, it cannot scan more than one Wi-Fi network in a single operation. more
