Place value is one of the most difficult concepts for many middle elementary-aged students. You teach it to them and, a few weeks later, they've forgotten where the ten thousands place is.
What's My Place? will help prevent that. It has students 'point out' which digit is in a particular place value. Students also compare numbers and translate words into numbers.
There are four levels in this program. Level One covers three-digit numbers Level Two includes numbers up to the six digits Level Three adds the millions period Level Four covers decimals (tens, ones, tenths and hundredths) On the bottom left of the screen it keeps the score. A perfect score is 100 for each module. There is a penalty for wrong answers. For each problem a student gets wrong, there is a help screen to assist them with the answer.
