Vocabulary Teacher is a simple yet helpful Mac program that comes in handy whenever you're studying a new language and wish to practice what you've learned. The application lets you create your own lists of words along with their correspondent translation, provides you with quizzes, and offers detailed statistics based on your test results.
This utility features a very intuitive interface where you can add words lists. For example, you can create a list names Animals for English to French study. You can add items like Dog -> Chien, Cat -> Chat, etc. Once you complete adding items to your list, you can click the Start Quiz! button from the bottom side of the main window.
The test questions show the words from the first field (in my case, the English terms) and your goal is to enter their correspondent translation. This app lets you know when your answer is correct or wrong and enables you to re-enter your response if it's not the right one. Once you complete the quiz, the program displays a chart based on the number of correct and wrong answers.
The one thing I'd add to this app would be an integrated option to translate words between various languages. This way, you won't need to use your default browser or dictionary app to find word translations for your lists.
Nevertheless, the utility is free of charge, so you have nothing to lose by trying it on your computer to see how it works.
