Videora iPod touch Converter is a free video converter. It allows you to convert pretty much any video format into H.264 and MPEG-4 files, which, as you may know, can be played perfectly on the iPod touch, and many other mobile multimedia playback devices, like iPhones, PSPs, iPads, etc. In fact, the first time you run this application, you will be asked to select your device model, and all the Apple devices are available for choice. I of course selected the iPod touch. I doubt that selecting different devices will influence the conversion process, since all the files that I converted after selecting different devices looked identical.
All of Videora's converters are HTML based. This means you are shown instructions during the process (but they are for the Windows version of the app). Also, HMTL is a great way of displaying ads. So, you will see your share of ads on the screen. This doesn't really get in your way, though.
In my testing, I converted a 720p MKV file into the 720p H.264 conversion profile. The process took less than a minute for a 30-second clip, and the resulting file was played great.
If you are looking for a free converter for your Apple devices, this app, or any of the other Videora converters, will most certainly do.
