Ultra Analog, one of the latest synthesizes software, provides musicians with a flexible sound output due to its two oscillators, two filters, two LFOs as well as additional envelopes. The application also includes 34 built-in presets that go through many of its sound capabilities.
With Ultra Analog, you will be able to focus more on creating music rather than configuring knobs. In order to support this, the utility features an intuitive layout divided among panels for each of its oscillators, filters, amps. In spite of this, I found the controls a bit too small which may require some mouse accuracy. Also, all the panels are fixed so you have to get used to the way all analog controls are positioned.
In terms of sound, Ultra Analog offers a wide range of possibilities. The sound bank alone should attract professional sound designers thanks to well-developed characteristics of the analog output.
I found Ultra Analog a bit restraining in terms of interface layout. The application does however have all the makings of a solid analog synthesizer: it's flexible, has great effects and preset support.
