UK VPN 4.8
Old versionsSee all
UK VPN allows you to surf the Internet without disclosing your real identity. Thus, using a fake IP can help you protect your privacy, access restricted sites and bypass local IPS rules. UK VPN is a client powered by FlowVPN and it has the characteristic of being especially intended to provide faster access to UK-based websites.
The client has a nice interface, although certainly not as minimalistic as those of other similar applications. It allows you to select the desired server and provides you with their Ping response times for you to evaluate the best connection speeds.
The quality of the service you receive as an end-user depends on that of the provider: FlowVPN. As to connection speed, it is unfortunately unstable and depends a lot on the server chosen and the time of the day. Likewise, it supports various VPN protocols: IPSec, L2TP and OpenVPN. Unfortunately, they tend to use less safe protocols instead of OpenVPN, which is considered one of the most reliable. It is also bad that some activities like P2P data transfers and torrenting are not allowed.
In terms of privacy, UK VPN is not the best option. First, there is no anonymous payment. What is worse, they warn you that any data recorded about a client may be disclosed to comply with an official order, without even informing you about it. Likewise, they do not deny there is a possibility that customer data is shared with its suppliers.
To sum up, UK VPN may be a good option if you need to access British websites. However, it has several limitations in terms of protecting your private data. The service can be tried at no cost but, after this free period, you will need to acquire one of their plans as in-app purchases.
