Typinator is a Mac program that comes in handy when writing emails or documents for work where you need to enter commonly used words or phrases, like email addresses, URLs, dates, etc. By working with this application you decrease the amount of time you spend writing documents or messages on your computer.
The utility sits in your Menu Bar from where you can access the main window of the application. You can add custom abbreviations, each with its own meaning or expansion. For example, you can add the item called Email with the expansion johnsmith@gmail.com. Once you type Email within a text editor or other third-party program, Typinator automatically pastes its correspondent expansion.
You can also define global hotkeys for immediately revealing the app's main window, pausing Typinator's expansion, etc. The program also features an integrated search tool that helps you quickly find an abbreviation entry within app's records.
Another advantage is that you can always pause Typinator's expansion. This means that if you type, like in the previous example, the word Email within a third-party app, Typinator won't paste its correspondent expansion any more.
Cutting a long story short, it's worth installing Typinator if you wish to easily paste commonly used text content while writing emails or other type of document. This program is very simple to handle, offers you many useful features, and comes with a fair price.
