I am having the same problem. Is there no way to fix this?

I am having the same problem. Is there no way to fix this? I just bought ibookcopy and it won't work.

Downloaded this to try it as I have a bunch of iBooks I want to re-read on my Kindle and I can't because of the DRM. Download went fine but when I tried to convert I got an error message telling "Conversion failed, please confirm that the iBooks are authorized". What does that mean in practice? I bought them legally from Apple's iBooks and added them to iBook Copy directly from iBook library.

I'm having the same issue.

Liss, you need to open iTunes and iBooks on your Mac, then authorise iBooks. Then it should work.

Liss, you are using a newer version such as Mac OS X 10.11 and iTunes 12.3, it only works with older versions.

Jon, what do I have to do after I open iTunes?

Jonathan Last year

Charlie, usually just authorise your machine. (It’s an option in the menu. Authorise & de-authorise machine.Hope this helps.

Jonathan, thank you, I did both: the authorisation in iTunes and iBooks and it still doesn't work. Is it possible that the app only work properly on older Mac systems?

Jonathan Vardy Last year

Charlie, that’s correct. They only work on older systems. I use virtual box to emulate and older O/S on my MacBook. It’s a bit of a faff, but does work. I use Dropbox to move the files between operating systems.
