TopHat App Menu is a simple program that provides you with a quick and easy way to launch apps on your Mac.
The application features a menu editor where you can drag-and-drop the programs you wish to have quick access to. From the same window you can select how many recently used utilities you want to be displayed within the app's main menu.
Another good aspect is that you can configure the app to automatically launch at system log in.
The only thing I don't like is the fact that it doesn't offer you an option to select which apps to be excluded from the Recently Used list. Another utility from the same developer, TopHat Folders Menu (gives you access to recently used directories), provide you with this feature.
Other than that, not much more can be said about this program. It does exactly what's being stated on the homepage of the developer: immediately gives you access to favorite or recently used apps within your Mac.
Pros
- Simple to handle
- Supports drag-and-drop action
- Shows recently used apps
- Uses a small amount of CPU resources
Cons
- Doesn't let you select which tools to be excluded from the Recent Used apps list
