It uses the system flight tracking framework included in macOS. In addition, you are provided with handy weather information.

Version 1.0 has a copyright date of 2017. With later versions of Mac OSX, the TodayFlights app cannot open because it is not code signed. The app crashes due to a missing code signature.When working on my Mac, I found this app useful to monitor arriving flights when I needed to pick up family. It is not on Apple's Mac App store. Since it is native to Intel, it is unexpected that it would be rewritten to native M1 code.
